Advocacy

We at Autism Consulting are willing to come in and act as advocates for people on the autism spectrum when and where we are needed. This advocacy can happen in person, on the phone and through written letters. Situations where this has been effective in the past is in schools, at Individual Educational Plan meetings, in meetings with psychologists and or social workers, with employers and in job training situations. I have also accompanied parents as they searched for suitable educational placements for their children.

We at Autism Consulting Service are also using our contacts throughout the world to create a list of those on the spectrum who are willing to talk to families in their home communities about the reality of autism and perhaps be available to figure the problems families are facing in the moment from an autistic perspective.
