Please be patient: we are still working on this
page.
Gail Gillingham Wylie, M.Sc. is a trained
individual, family and marital counselor and offers these
services on a hourly basis to individuals and families who are dealing with
autism as well as to anyone else who is interested in using her as a therapist.
Her work is loosely based on that of family therapist Dr. Murray Bowen. She has
added her own knowledge to the counseling sessions based on her own experience
in life as well as what she has learned about humanity from those who live on
the extreme of life: people with autism, children in foster care, and those who
were sexually abused as young children.
Rates: $100.00 an hour
Key Benefits
- Benefit 1: you work
with a counselor who fully accepts that this is your journey we are
traveling on together and that the work that has to be done is your
responsibility. She walks beside you, not above you.
- Benefit 2: you work
within a holistic approach that covers all levels of the self.
- Benefit 3: if you
are interested in counseling from an autistic perspective, you are working
with a person who has dedicated her life to understanding autism as clearly
as possible and who is known and accepted by people with autism from all
over the world as a person who truly understands in a way that very few
'typical' people do.
- Benefit 4: all types
of counseling can be combined with work on the SCIO which speeds up our
ability and effectiveness to deal with any type of issue.
